Headache Help

Headaches can be a very debilitating pain. Some are due to a physical injury yet many more times it is a nutritional issue. Some of the reasons for a nasty headache could be - lack of good food, sleep, nutrients, water, circulation, good quality essential fatty acids EFA, lack of movement, the list could go on.
One of the first things I ask my clients is what has their day been like? Did you remember to drink water? What is your stress level like? Did you get a good nights sleep? Have you eaten or what did you eat?
Sometimes they know the answer and sometimes just taking a moment to think about your day, what you ate or drank could help you remedy that headache.
Location of a headache can also tell you a lot about your nutritional needs.
Behind the head/neck - low potassium
Behind the eyes - hormonal imbalance
Back of the head - low sugar or low protein
Front of the head - high sugar intake
So the next time you have a headache, take a deep breathe, (also a culprit of a headache) and think about the foods you ate or if you are just stressing way to much over something.
