One way to support your mental health, especially during those extra stressful times, are to make sure you are eating nutritionally dense, whole foods, avoid all of the processed foods that are high in sugar, carbohydrates and chemicals. Be mindful of what and how much you eat to help with the FIGHT- FLIGHT- FREEZE chemical response to stress. Be gentle with your digestive system and do not overload it with process foods and you will feel mentally, emotionally and physically able to handle the stress you are dealing with.
